Foram entrevistados 22 operadores de motosserra com o uso de questionários específicos. A maioria dos trabalhadores era casada, possuíam filhos, casa própria e idade abaixo de 40 anos.
A média de estatura dos operadores de motosserra foi de 1,72 m, favorável ao desempenho da atividade, pois em grande parte do tempo o operador de motosserra trabalha agachado.
Há dias da semana que a produtividade é baixa, porém, não se sabe o motivo do baixo rendimento operacional.
Braços e costas foram as partes do corpo mais acusadas de dores, e a ocorrência de descuido, cansaço, e fatalidade foram informadas como causas da maioria dos acidentes.
The objective of this work was to analyze the human factors and the work conditions of motor-manual forestry cutting of pine plantations in the State of Paraná, Brazil, in order to provide information for ergonomic reorganization of the work and to improve the conditions of comfort, health and safety of the workers.
Twenty-two chainsaw operators were interviewed using specific questionnaires. Most of the workers were married, had children, own house and age under 40 years.
The average height of the chainsaw operators was 1.72 m, favorable to the performance of the activity, because the workers spend a big part of workday crouched.
There are days of the week that the productivity is low, however, the reason for the low productivity is not known.
Arms and backs were the parts of the body most accused of pain, and the occurrence of carelessness, fatigue, and fatality were reported as the causes of most accidents.
