TECHNICAL ANALYSIS OF PINE EXTRACTION WITH "MINI SKIDDER"
This study aimed to analyze a mini skidder composed of agricultural tractor and hydraulic clamp on the extraction of pine trees in Parana, Brazil. The machines worked in final cut scheme (after thinning) at a 25-year-old pine plantation. Productivity, mechanical availability and operational efficiency were determined, considering different distances and slopes. The equipment proved not to be the most appropriate due the working conditions requires robustness. Productivity ranged from 8 to 50 m³/h, depending on conditions. The mechanical availability was 81%, low for a machine with a few hours of use, but acceptable considering the extreme working conditions it has submitted.
